Results Switzerland 3rd Quarter 2019

Expectation by Industry

Expectations for the third quarter are more pessimistic than the results for the second quarter. In particular, the Financial and Insurance Services sector, which has been the driving force of the Swiss economy to date and is always among the top 3 sectors, has fallen to 63. For the third time in a row, the Trade and Goods Manufacturing sectors are experiencing a downward trend. The upward trend in Economic Services has also been halted for the time being. There is still no glimmer of hope in the Construction Industry either, which has continuously occupied the last place for a year now. After a slump in the second quarter, Art, Entertainment and Recreation, as well as Education, have recovered to strong levels of 95 and 85 respectively. The Information and Communications sector, which has always been relatively strong in Switzerland, is occupying the top position for the first time.
